2509 Upper Stone Mtn Road

One-of-a-kind is the best way to describe this picturesque 2.81-acre property in Unicoi. Peaceful and private, it feels like a retreat from the moment you arrive. A circular driveway leads into a setting surrounded by mature trees, beautiful landscaping, and established gardens that are difficult to fully capture in photos.

Inside, the home is spacious, warm, and filled with natural light. The main living area features hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, skylights, and a fireplace with an electric insert that can easily be converted back to gas logs. Decorative wainscoting throughout the main living and dining areas and added crown molding bring character to the home. The kitchen offers granite countertops, abundant cabinetry, newer appliances, and a nearby wood-burning stove. Also on the main level are a flexible office or bedroom, half bath, and added laundry room.

Upstairs are two bedrooms with updated flooring and custom closet shelving and drawers, and an extensively updated full bath.

The finished lower level offers even more flexibility with a living space, buck stove with gas logs, kitchenette/wet bar, renovated full bath, additional bedroom, and a large storage room. With interior and exterior access, the lower level is well suited for guests or potential in-law accommodations.

Outdoor living is a highlight, with expansive new Trex decking creating multiple sitting and gathering areas, concealed storage underneath, and a large screened porch. The sellers have added gardens throughout the property, with winding paths leading through them. Mature rhododendrons, raised garden beds, a Zen garden, fountain, tucked-away sitting areas, and a seasonal creek along the edge of the property all contribute to the beautiful, established landscaping.

There is also a detached two-car garage with a finished bonus/apartment space and full bath above. The property also includes a storage shed and well house.

Extensive improvements include a new well pump, main-level central HVAC and two mini-split systems replaced in 2025, replaced electrical panels and updated wiring, newer appliances, updated flooring, and extensive new decking. The property is served by a private well, with public water available. See the attached improvements list for additional details.
